I have another draft tonight in which i have the 9th selection in a 12 team league. Here is the squad i'm feilding in another league i'm in. Note: i had the 14th pick in a 14 team league.

The draft was held Sunday, August 20th, so some of the picks i made don''t seem so smart anymore. for example; Billy Volek has competion from Kerry Collins, Chris Perry is out for the first half of the season and the signing of Dante Stallworth has pretty much made Hank Baskett inconsequential.

On the other hand, Warrick Dunn turned out to be a better pick than i originally thought after TJ Duckett was sent to the Redskins.

The thing about Fantasy Football is; it's only about 40% skill...a lot of it has to do with luck. Especially if you are picking laast in a damn huge-ass league.

Any comments about my picks or suggestions for sleepers to look at this evening?

I haven't posted anything in quite some time. Two factors have limited my blogging efforts:

1. Busy at work
2. I'm not that interesting

A few things have happened since i last wrote, so i guess i'll address them...



- In regards to the ex that sent me an email trying to catch up...well, apparently she just wanted to say "hello" and that's it. She did NOT appreciate the inference that she was trying to get in my britches. I suspect she will not be emailing me again. In fact, i'm pretty sure she hates me.

- I wanted to send well-wishes to Scott and Casie who both recently left a bad situation to pursue new jobs. Scott is right down the road, but we are losing Casie A.K.A Seniorita Gigglesworth to Boston. Best of luck to you both, never forget the lessons you learned in Morrisville.

- I had lunch at Danny's with Will, Rob, Belsky, Steve and Casie the other day. The BBQ was magnificent and the conversation was even better. I give it 2 thumbs up. I should take this opportunity to apologize to Belsky for misleading him into believing that Irving Fryar and Steve Grogan would be signing autographs there..Andrew, i am truly sorry.

- I have been getting a fair amount of traffic for the post i put up bashing Cindy's House Cafe in Cary. I am going to go there again next week and give Cindy and her crew another chance. I might wear a fake mustache to ensure i am not recognized.

- Bryce was recently voted the cutest kid in Raleigh-Durham by an informal poll of my wife and our parents, so, congrats to him. I will say that this has been my favorite age so far. He jumps out of bed in the morning and plays his ass off all day, then just collapses around 8. He is definitely the silliest kid i have ever met...not sure where he gets it from.

- *Teaser* - Rob and I have been working on a project that is destined to change the world. It should go live in the next couple of weeks, so look for a major annoucement and subsequent media firestorm. This could be the one...

- Will has a date tonight with a full-blown hot ass, so hopefully for Will it goes well...and if it doesn't...look foor a funny blog about it on Monday. I was a little hard on Will this week when i suggested that he "stop being such a pussy and start finger-blasting bitches like it's his job." I hope the meaning wasn't lost or misconstued, but i meant this to be a sort of pre-game speech that inspired Will to start finger-blasting bitches like it's his job.

Spanking?

There have been some developments with the ex-ladyfriend emails, but i'm going to keep you all in suspense for a while.

In the meantime:

Bryce is going through a stage where he likes to headbutt Ashley. We watch a lot of old Junkyard Dog wrestling matches, but i doubt that has anything to do with it. Anywho, i was joking with Ashley that he needs a good spanking and it made me wonder if those of you that have kids spank them and if those of you who are planning to have kids are going to spank them.

I planned on spanking the shit out of Bryce when he gets older, but some recent eisodes of Supernanny have me thinking that naughty chairs/time out stools/thinking ponds might be an equally good deterant to bad behavior.

Maybe a combination of both is the answer...i know i got spanked everyday from 1979-1983 and i'm not sure it helped. I'm still a pretty big dumbass.

Evan Roberts - "a book deal is forthcoming"

According to Evan, if i post enough, i am virtualy guaranteed of getting a book deal.

It's my contention that only interesting people get book deals, but i'll give him the benefit of the doubt and post a brand spanking new post every day this week.

If i do not have a book deal by Monday of next week, it is definitive proof that Evan is a liar.
